I am going to be totally honest… I dislike the taste of this juice. It is like that cold/flu medicine that you had to have when a child, you never liked the taste but knew that it was good for you, so you had to have it. Other people may like it, to me, it is more about the benefits I get from it.
It may well be that I like sweet flavours in the morning, and the beetroot has that “soil” flavour (when raw) that is not precisely like hot chocolate!
Then, why do I have it? why do I recommend it? Like I said, there’s a lot more to gain than to loose.
I have Crohn’s disease, and usually suffering from acid reflux, and the beetroot juice is good to calm and even prevent it. As well, beetroots are one of the most powerful detox and helps with kdney stones.
Carrots and orange are used for obvious reasons, Vitamine C and betacarotenes, which are super antioxidant and become Vitamine A once in our organism.
With all this facts, now it is your choice. To me is well worth when I am really bad with my acid reflux, maybe you’ll feel the same if you try!
Here is the recipe:
- 1 small beetroot
- 1 large carrot
- 1 orange
- 1 tbsp honey
- Peel and chop all the ingredients and let the blender do its magic.
- Pass the result through a sieve (otherwise it'll be hard to digest)
